  • Yesterday, sophomore Lauren Zaretsky was selected to compete in the 2024 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships. The Las Vegas Regional, set for May 17 through May 22, will be streamed live on the Golf Channel.

Fun for the Whole Family | Lubbock, TX Upcoming Events

Light the Night

Joycentric, a Texas Tech student organization and non-profit, is hosting Light the Night to uplift the cancer community on Friday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. During the event, there will be live performances, food trucks, Texas Tech University organizations, and local businesses. Guests can also participate in a balloon release to honor those who have passed or currently have cancer. The event is free to attend.

PetFest

This weekend, the Lubbock Aquarium is hosting a PetFest, featuring sea lions! The PetFest celebrates pets of all shapes and sizes. At 6:30 PM on Friday, guests can attend a VIP show and dinner starring sea lions. On Saturday, there will be food trucks, pet adoptions, and more fun for the whole family. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children.

Saturday: Off-Road Car Show @ Adventure Park, 10 AM to 2 PM

This weekend, attend the car show for a great cause. The funds from Saturday’s event will support the Lubbock Aquarium. Early registration is $15, which includes two general admission passes to the park. Tickets cost $20 on the day of.

Sunday: Capes and Crowns Royal Ball @ Lubbock Community Theater, 3 PM to 4:30 PM

Calling all princesses, princes, and knights in shining armor — the Lubbock Community Theater’s Capes and Crowns royalty invites guests to the Royal Ball this Sunday. Attendees should wear their best ball attire. Tickets are $30 per child. Parents receive general admission.
